Donations and Memberships enable Desert Overture to fulfill its mission to entertain, enrich, educate, and support the community and it’s members through our passion for music. All financial and in-kind contributions are greatly appreciated!

All donations are tax-deductible. Desert Overture’s parent organization, Desert Overture Live Cultural Entertainment, Inc. (DOLCE) was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the State of Arizona in May, 2010, and was granted 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Status by the IRS in August, 2010.

Member Level Program
The Desert Overture Member Program provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to our success and receive benefits and recognition for your contribution. All members will be listed in each Desert Overture concert program and on our website for the season.
As an arts organization, our gift to the community is unique. We provide a safe space for LGBTQIA+ musicians to come together and perform quality entertainment that everyone can enjoy. As a member, you are actively supporting arts in the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss how your bequest can play a meaningful role in our future and perpetuate your life values. Please contact us to discuss all of the memorial bequest opportunities available to you.
When making a decision to include Desert Overture in your estate plans, please direct your funds to:
“Desert Overture Live Cultural Entertainment, Inc. These funds are to be used to support Desert Overture and/or Desert City Jazz at the discretion of the Desert Overture board.”
You may further specify your bequest to one of our ongoing projects. Please contact us to discuss language that would best meet your needs and to be sure we are able to apply the bequest in accordance with your wishes.
Every dollar given to Desert Overture through a bequest or other testamentary gift is fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes when certain legal requirements are met.
Advertising & Sponsorship
What better way to show your support for both the Arts and the LGBT+ community than by placing an ad in our concert programs? Desert Overture performs 3 – 4 concerts per year, and ads can be purchased for a single concert or for the full season. Volunteer
If you don’t play a musical instrument (or even if you do) and you would like to be involved with Desert Overture, there are many ways to help. Desert Overture is always looking for volunteers!
Here are several ways you can volunteer and be a part of Desert Overture.
Event Volunteers donate their time by helping us at our events. Typical positions include box office staffing, ticket takers, ushers, and stagehands.
Board Members serve on the DOLCE Board of Directors for a two-year term, beginning July 1. If you have experience in non-profit leadership, organizational development, marketing, fundraising, finance, communication, strategic planning, project planning, or similar skills, we encourage you to run for the board!
Board Committee Volunteers assist committees from the Board of Directors as needed. Examples of committees that commonly need volunteers include our Fundraising and Development Committee, which seeks outside funding for Desert Overture; the Production Committee, which helps with set/concert décor design, construction and concert logistics; as well as the Marketing Committee, which oversees publicity for our performances and events.
Third Party Fundraisers are an opportunity for community members to sponsor a fundraiser for Desert Overture. Desert Overture members are eager to help make each effort a success and we look forward to working with our incredible sponsors.
