Desert Overture, Phoenix’s LGBT and Ally Wind Symphony, presents “I Am What I Am,” a concert celebrating milestones in LGBT history.
The 50-piece wind ensemble will play a variety of music commemorating events such as the Harlem Renaissance, the advent of Disco, the assassination of Harvey Milk, and the passage of Marriage Equality.
The band will welcome guest vocalist Kristen Drathman, who has appeared on stages throughout the Valley.
The performance will take place on Sunday, June 3 at 3:00 PM at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe.
Advance tickets are $12 for adults, $2 for students K-12, and children 5 and under are free. There is a $5 per ticket surcharge on the day of the show. Prices do not include box office service fee.
